H-O-P-E is a participatory art project for the exhibition UNITED NATIONS
REVISITED, took place in Berlin in spring 2013 and in Wien in May 2015.

First Phase Digital

I am working on a new interactive video installation: H-O-P-E for the exhibition UNITED NATIONS REVISITED, takes place in Berlin in spring 2013.
H-O-P-E is inspired by a mural painting inside the UN Security Council conference hall in New York, painted in 1950 by the Norwegian artist Per Krogh. H-O-P-E  is produced while workshops, collective sessions, and public presentations worldwide, by people from most different cultural backgrounds. The project main idea is to “remix” the painting in short video loops. On the project websitewww.unitednationshope.de the first results of this ongoing project are presented. Short videoclips were produced by people from R.D. Congo, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Germany, France, USA, Tahiti and Australia.

United Nations Revisited – art interventions in political spaces explores the tension between the political and the aesthetic poles looking at the example of the United Nations. The intervention focuses on pictorial and symbolical acts around the United Nations. The exhibition presents reflections of these symbols and questions whether they are appropriate for the 21st century.

H-O-P-E , a project about United Nations has been presented at MMA Festival in Yangon, Myanmar, in November, 2012. This included interviews with burmese and international festival visitors and also a workshop at the Yangon International School. There was a very special atmosphere at the Multimedia Art Festival in Yangon.
